Anybody, a referral from a doctor or other healthcare professional is not necessary.

The meal package is soup, main course, dessert and fruit juice. Salads, sandwiches, fruit, snack packs and breakfast packs are also available.

All items can be chosen and are priced individually – you decide on a regular order that suits your needs. Clients eligible for the government subsidy pay from $11.50 for the four item package. If you do not qualify for the subsidy the cost begins at $11.00 for a main meal only.

Meals are normally delivered in time for lunch every weekday including some Public Holidays, with weekend meals being sent out on a Friday.
No – from one day to seven days a week or anywhere in between, the choice is entirely yours and you can cancel at any time. There is no contract or means test.
Deliveries are made either by dedicated volunteers or one of our part time drivers.

Monday for the coming week by Direct Debit or internet Bank Transfer.

Please advise the office, preferably the previous working day, and we can leave your meal with a friend or neighbour, or cancel your meal for the day and credit any pre-payment.
One phone call is all it takes, and our service is flexible enough to deliver the same day if necessary! A person can ring on their own behalf or be referred by a neighbour, carer, friend, doctor, hospital, family or anybody.
No. We have a strict privacy policy and take great care of your personal details. No information is available to any outside organisation or person without your explicit written permission.

If you have a Home Care Package (with appropriate funding) you can choose Meals on Wheels as your meal provider within your Package and only pay 30% of the normal cost, the Package will pick up the balance.

Full priced meals are available to anyone regardless of age or circumstance, or if you choose not to register with My Aged Care. A wide selection of attractive frozen meals are available for pick up by anybody from both of our branches – Monday to Friday from 8am to 3pm.

To receive the government subsidised pricing you must be registered with My Aged Care. However, if there is an urgent need, meal deliveries can be started immediately while the MAC registration process is in progress.
