Who can receive a meal?

Anybody, a referral from a doctor or other healthcare professional is not necessary.

What does a meal consist of?
Soup, main course, sweet and fruit juice.

What is the cost?
The above items are priced individually, and you decide on a regular order that suits your needs. Clients eligible for the government subsidy pay from $9.50 for the four item meal. If you do not qualify for the subsidy the cost begins at $7.00 for a main meal only.

What time is my meal delivered?
Meals are normally delivered in time for lunch every weekday including some Public Holidays, with weekend meals being sent out on a Friday.

Do I have to take meals every day?
No – from one day to seven days a week or anywhere in between, the choice is entirely yours and you can cancel at any time. There is no contract or means test.

Who delivers my meal?
Deliveries are made either by dedicated volunteers or one of our part time drivers.

How and when do I pay?
Monday for the coming week - direct debit or internet bank transfer is preferred. Our deliverers carry a small cash float for change and you will always be given a receipt for money collected.

What happens if I have a hospital or doctors appointment, or am going out for a day?
Please advise the office, preferably the previous working day, and we can leave your meal with a friend or neighbour, or cancel your meal for the day and credit any pre-payment.

How do I arrange to receive meals?
One phone call is all it takes, and our service is flexible enough to deliver the same day if necessary! A person can ring on their own behalf or be referred by a neighbour, carer, friend, doctor, hospital, family or anybody.

Do you give my personal information to anybody?
No. We have a strict privacy policy and take great care of your personal details. No information is available to any outside organisation or person without your explicit written permission.
