Welcome to the beautiful Fraser Coast in sunny Queensland!
Meals on Wheels Fraser Community Inc (formerly Hervey Bay Meals on Wheels Inc) has been fulfilling the needs of the local community since 1968, when 12 meals were delivered in the first week.
On 21st February 2014 we moved in to our fantastic new kitchen and admin facility at 39a Islander Road, Pialba. We owe a huge thank you to all the local individuals and organisations who helped us climb the fundraising mountain, and to the Department of Communities, Child Safety & Disability Services who provided the grant that finally turned our dreams into reality.
We currently cook around 10,000 meals monthly - 6,000 for Hervey Bay and 4,000 for Maryborough clients. These meals are distributed from our Hervey Bay kitchen to clients in River Heads and through the city suburbs to Howard, Torbanlea and Burrum Heads. From Churchill St we deliver throughout the greater Maryborough area, plus Aldershot, Oakhurst and as far south as Poona.
